Hollow Ground is an arcade action game developed by Blackwight. The version 2.0, or SE version, includes more levels and more weapons and power-ups. In Hollow Grounds you take the role of four mercenaries that must descend down a bunker to find out the source of a horde of mutants. Each mercenary has different weapon types and different attributes. Alternatively, you can play with another person at the same computer.
The game is played in third person, from a top-down view. You control your character using the keyboard only, which results in clumsy controls. Most of the time you are not facing the way you want to be shooting at, and that can be a bit annoying. The graphics are with 3D models, but you can hardly notice it during the game except for some objects. The sounds of the game are pretty poor, with gunshots sounding as if they were made vocally. Hollow Ground has a huge amount of levels, around 70, and the size of them may vary, so there is plenty of content here if you like the game. But for the price, there might be other games you may want to buy.
